SEPL KYY5-4.0 is a 2-pole Type 2 AC Surge Protection Device designed to protect single-phase electrical and solar power systems against transient overvoltage and surge events. The device is configured for Line and Neutral protection and has a maximum continuous operating voltage (Uc) of 320V AC. It provides a nominal discharge current (In) of 20kA and a maximum discharge current (Imax) of 40kA, making it suitable for AC distribution boards, solar inverter AC protection and other electrical installations. The surge protection level (Up) is ≤1.5kV, helping limit transient overvoltage before it reaches connected electrical equipment. Its modular DIN-rail design allows convenient installation inside AC distribution and protection boxes, while the front status indicators provide quick visual inspection of the protection modules. The device is classified as Type 2 (T2) and is designed for operation across a wide ambient temperature range from -40°C to +80°C.
